N1  - On 3 March 1993, a new law on authors' rights and neighbouring rights bearing the number 2121/1993 was published in Greece's OFFICIAL JOURNAL and came into effect immediately. Prior to that date, Greek copyright law was embodied in two statutes. One, dating from 1909, was concerned with dramatic works; the other, dating from 1920, dealt with authors' rights in general and replaced in part the earlier statute.
