Yet the principle that first brought creators together remains unchanged: creativity begins with human authors, and the protection of their rights is fundamental to a thriving cultural economy. That conviction, carried across generations, will continue to guide CISAC as it enters its second century-defending creators' rights in a world where creativity has never been more valuable, or more at risk.
