Summary
In August 2023, the United States Copyright Office (USCO) published a Notice of Inquiry and request for comments on the intersection between Artificial Intelligence and Copyright. The USCO had earlier announced it would issue a Report in several Parts analysing the comments received. On 31 July 2024, the first Part of the Report, addressing the topic of digital replicas, was published. The present article offers a summary of the USCO’s proposal on the subject.
