Summary
Today’s creative economy depends on the algorithmic decision-making deployed by ISPs. Those systems’ opacity has led to the phenomenon of "copyright gossip", leading creators to develop their own explanations and strategies for the decisions in question. To counter this, there is a strong call for transparency rules. This article evaluates whether such rules are suitable for mitigating this gossip.
