Резюме
Civil Code, Arts. 1217, 1231-1 and 1231-6; Intellectual Property Code, Arts. L.111-1, L.112-1, L.112-2, L.121-1 and L.122-1 ‒ MILLIMAGES Headnotes by the Editorial Office 1. The court clarifies the protection of author rights within the context of multiple, related contractual engagements, emphasising the legal acknowledgment and compensation for creative contributions across different roles in a project. 2. After analysing the commissioning and copyright assignment contract and the letter contracting a salaried temporary employee for the role of head set designer, the court concludes that the purposes of these two contracts are distinct yet complementary, and they clearly coexisted. 3. The court confirms that the work carried out within the established contractual framework entitles an individual to authorship status as a graphic designer. Paris Court of Appeal (Cour d’appel de Paris), judgment of 18 October 2023 – 21/16862
