Note
There has been a great deal of co-operation between the Nordic countries of Europe (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden) in producing copyright legislation which is, to a great extent, similar in all of them. Based upon government proposals directed towards legal uniformity, new copyright acts were enacted in all Nordic countries (with the exception of Iceland) at the beginning of the 1960s. The ambition of keeping copyright harmonized is still strong; all Nordic countries are members of the Berne Union, and all adhere to the Universal Copyright Convention; Background to the changes; Computer program protection; Renting and lending computer programs to the public; Copying, adaptation and decOMPIlation; The transfer of rights in employment situations; Semiconductor chip design protection;.
