N2  - The origin of this publication was the conference "Intellectual property and digitalization: challenges for intellectual property management," organised in May 2017 by the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI), the Bureau of Theoretical and Applied Economics (BETA), and the International Institute for Intellectual Property Management (I3PM). The objective of the conference was to shed light on the most recent evolution in intellectual property brought by digitalisation, gathering an eclectic group of experts from academia, public institutions, and industry. From an academic standpoint, we were particularly interested in combining law, economics, and management scholars.
