The music and video games industries have implemented a range of tactics in their battle with pirates. Although no serious commentator is predicting the demise of the console anytime soon, what is clear is that video game content is increasingly moving online and this platform shift has arguably resulted in threats to, and opportunities for, the gaming industry in almost equal measure.
