(SAS). We have seen a 300% increase in the number of allowances this year. While some of this increase is because of the growing number of filings from SAS and some of the increase is because of the change in regime at the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), I believe that increase is also because of a change in process to interview each and every case in-person with the patent examiner. We began this process in April 2009 and have now reached a year of experience conducting in-person examiner interviews. Here, I am going to share the reasons for changing process, our experience at the patent office and some tips that we have picked up along the way. 000049019 650_0 $$aIntellectual property. 000049019 650_0 $$aPatent offices. 000049019 650_0 $$aPatent procedures. 000049019 650_0 $$aPatents. 000049019 650_0 $$aTrademarks. 000049019 7001_ $$aWilson, Timothy,$$eauthor. 000049019 903__ $$aIntellectual Property Magazine 000049019 904__ $$aJournal article 000049019 942__ $$cART$$jGB 139 May 2010$$2ddc 000049019 980__ $$aBIB 000049019 999__ $$c28508$$d28508
