The Note will also propose two alternative recommendations and argue for adopting those blueprints instead. The Note unfolds in three parts. Part I examines the ongoing struggles of the music business and its failed attempts to remedy them. Part II provides a primer for blockchain technology, featuring a discussion of emerging use cases, and evaluates whether implementing blockchain technology is a viable solution for the music industry. The final portion offers two proposals prescribing more suitable measures Congress can undertake and explores the only possible value that the industry can currently extrapolate from blockchains: tokenization. 000042007 525__ $$aPublished in : Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law, vol. 37, no. 1 (2019) 000042007 650_0 $$aBlockchain technology 000042007 650_0 $$aMusic industry 000042007 650_0 $$aDigital 000042007 650_0 $$aDigitization 000042007 650_0 $$aRights management 000042007 650_0 $$aRoyalty 000042007 650_0 $$aTokenization 000042007 85641 $$uhttp://www.cardozoaelj.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/WISHNIA_NOTE.pdf$$yView this resource 000042007 904__ $$aJournal article 000042007 980__ $$aBIB
