However, for germplasm-rich countries, national interests come into conflict with the global interest. This work shows that the pursuit of national interests is counterproductive when it comes to maintaining genetic resources, food-security and rent-seeking and that optimally, the coverage of the FAO Treaty should be widened to apply to all crops. 000027801 650_0 $$aPatents. 000027801 650_0 $$aIntellectual property. 000027801 650_4 $$aElectronic books. -- local 000027801 650_4 $$aFood -- Safety measures 000027801 650_4 $$aGermplasm resources, Plant -- Law and legislation 000027801 650_4 $$aPlant diversity conservation -- Law and legislation 000027801 650_4 $$aInternational Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture -- (2001) 000027801 655_0 $$aElectronic books. 000027801 7001_ $$aGibson, Professor Johanna. 000027801 77608 $$iPrint version:$$aLightbourne, Muriel$$tFood Security, Biological Diversity and Intellectual Property Rights$$dFarnham : Taylor and Francis,c2009$$z9780754676119 000027801 830_0 $$aIntellectual Property, Theory, Culture. 000027801 85640 $$uhttp://ebookcentral.proquest.com/lib/wipo/detail.action?docID=476387$$yView Ebook 000027801 904__ $$aBook 000027801 942__ $$cEBOOK 000027801 980__ $$aBIB 000027801 980__ $$aEBL_old 000027801 980__ $$aOS 000027801 999__ $$c30316$$d30316
