N1  - After years of controversial debate, the Swiss legislator has finally passed amendments in order to enable Switzerland to ratify the WIPO Treaties. While the enhanced protection was initially intended to make Swiss copyright law fit for the digital environment, the new rights have not come alone but are coupled with a number of restrictions. This is reason enough to ask whether copyright has been demolished rather than improved.
