Summary
"With millions of .com names registered and tens of thousands of new applications weekly, many a cybersquatter has been able to acquire registration of a domain name in direct conflict with a trade mark owned by another and hold that trade mark owner to ransom. This article looks at toughened legal protection for trade mark owners adopted under the new Anticybersquatting Act enacted in the United States on November 29, 1999. The article suggests that the days of the cybersquatter are numbered."
